BANGKOK, Oct 5 (TNA) — The Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office will ask the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) to consider quarantine measures for investors who will visit the EEC.
Kanit Sangsubhan, secretary-general of the office, said that the office would propose to the CCSA measures for the quarantine of foreign investors who would visit the EEC.
He expected the CCSA to consider the proposal in its meeting on Oct 7. If the CCSA approves the measures, then they can be submitted to the cabinet, he said.
According to Mr Kanit, the EEC Office sent information about the EEC project to two companies in the United Kingdom, one company in Singapore, two others in the United States and two more companies in France.
Today the EEC Policy Committee met to follow up the progress of the EEC project. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha chaired the meeting.
The EEC targets 12 industries and plans promotional privileges for health and wellness businesses, tour services for well-to-do tourists and the medical tourism that focuses on precision medicine. (TNA)
