BANGKOK, Dec 9 (TNA) – Activities were held across
Thailand on Monday to raise public awareness against corruption on the
International Anti-Corruption Day.
The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) took a
leading role in the campaign with symbolic events and educational activities.
NACC provincial offices organized the events marking the
international day.
The anti-graft body has been the main force to oversee
anti-corruption mechanisms, but it urged the public to take part in the fight
under the concept “Zero Tolerance.”
Students and campaigners joined street marches in their
localities.
In Mae Hong Son city, hundreds of people participated in an
anti-corruption walk and run to the provincial hall.
Every year, the NACC also presents Transparent Organization
Awards as part of its campaign to promote social responsibility, respect for
the rule of law and human rights, transparency and code of ethics. (TNA)
