BANGKOK, July 26 (TNA) – Government agencies and the
private sector have held a series of activities including offering alms to
monks and taking an oath of allegiance to mark His Majesty the King’s 67th
birthday on July 28.
MCOT in partnership with business allies on Friday held a
religious ceremony for their executives and employees. They gave alms to 68 monks before singing the
Royal Anthem and paid respect to King Maha Vajiralongkorn portrait.
On the last working day ahead of the King’s birthday
anniversary, many public and private agencies also held religious and social
development activities.
Some new ministers chaired the religious rituals at their ministries’
compounds.
Residents of the southern province of Phang-nga planted
trees at a royally-initiated soil protection project.
The government is set to organize His Majesty’s 67th
birthday celebrations at the Royal Plaza in front of Dusit Palace this Sunday. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha
will join a mass prayer and merit-making for the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.(TNA)
