LAMPANG, Sept 20 (TNA) – Tourism in Lampang province is thriving once again as Chinese and Taiwanese tourists have flocked to the city, enjoying horse-drawn carriage rides and contributing to the local economy.
Yesterday, a group of Chinese and Taiwanese tourists arrived in Lampang by tour buses from Chiang Mai Airport. They showed great interest in taking horse-drawn carriage rides around the city. More than 100 Chinese tourists embarked on this unique experience, gathering at the horse carriage station in front of Mueang Lampang Museum, located within the Lampang Municipality.
Over 30 carriages were used for the city tours, allowing tourists to enjoy the picturesque surroundings of Lampang. This resurgence in tourist activity has reinvigorated the tourism scene in Lampang province.
The horse-drawn carriage business is thriving, with each carriage generating a daily income of over 1,000 Baht. This positive impact is benefiting the tourism economy in Lampang. Simultaneously, local businesses such as shops, restaurants, and souvenir stores within the city of Lampang are also experiencing an upswing in business due to the increased tourist influx. (TNA)
