LAMPANG, Feb 2(TNA) – Multiple minor tremors jolted Wang
Nua district of Thailand’s northern Lampang province on Wednesday, damaging
several houses and office with no reports of fatalities or injuries.
From around noon on Wednesday to early Thursday morning, the
tremors occurred 26 times, registering 2.1 to 4.9 magnitude and damaging 14

The Meteorological Department says the seismic activities
were caused by Payao Fault; the strongest tremor occurred at the epicenter at
21 kilometer deep in Wang Nua district.
Engineers have examined a stupa at a Buddhist temple, Wat
Phra Kerd, that tilted after the quake.
The Meteorological Department and other agencies are
monitoring the situation, calling people to follow warnings and instructions.
