BANGKOK, July 26 (TNA) – The parliamentary session started for the second day of the government policy statement. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha arrived at the venue, the auditorium of TOT plc, in a good mood.
The session began at 9.40am. government chief whip Wirat Rattanaset asked deputy parliament president Pornpetch Wichitcholchai to extend the debate on the government’s policies to the morning of July 27 as the government and the opposition had over 16 hours left for their debate. Mr Pornpetch would decide later.
Before the session started, Prime Minister and Defence Minister Prayut arrived at the TOT auditorium. He did not reply reporters’ questions about the overview of the policy debate and said only “Good morning. How are you?”
Interior Minister Anupong Paojinda said many parts of the debate were constructive.
He also said that he was not concerned about the debate and that people responded positively to explanations from the government. (TNA)
