BANGKOK, July 23 (TNA) – The government whip has allocated time for coalition parties to explain the policies in the two-day parliamentary session later this week.
Deputy chairman of the government whip, Chinaworn Boonyakiat said that the whip meeting today held talks on readiness to deliver its policy statement to Parliament on Thursday.
The meeting discussed time allocation to give opportunities for the opposition MPs to debate the government policies.
All parties agreed that the policy debate will be held on July 25-26 from 09.30 to midnight.
The opposition will be given 13.5 hours, while 15 hours will be allocated to ministers, coalition MPs, and senators or five hours each, said Chinaworn.
Speaking about time allocation for the policy statement, the ruling Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) will have 123 minutes, followed by 63 minutes for the Democrat Party, 59 minutes for the Bhumjaithai Party and 12 minutes for the Chartthaipattana Party.
The rest will be given to smaller coalition parties. (TNA)
