TRANG, Dec 21 (TNA) – Flooding has extended to cover six districts in the southern province of Trang with one death reported.
Although, rainfall stopped for three days, several low-lying areas remain under water due to high tide.
The province declared six districts disaster zones. A 15-year-old boy died in a flood-related incident.
Meanwhile, in Narathiwat, the Su-ngai Kolok river overflowed its banks after a week of straight rainfall, flooding more than 85 houses along the river.
Provincial governor declared Su-ngai Kolok district a disaster zone as more rain could worsen flood in low-lying areas. Flat –bottom boats, life vests and sandbags have been dispatched to flood-prone communities. (TNA)
