BANGKOK, Sept 27 (TNA) — Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra is scheduled to fly to inspect the flood situation and to follow up the flood relief measures in the heavily flood-hit provinces of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai this afternoon.
The public relations advisor to the Prime Minister Jirayu Houngsub told reporters that Ms Paetongtarn will stay overnight in Chiang Rai before returning to Bangkok on Saturday.
Mr Jirayu said Ms Paetongtarn and several ministers will travel from the military airport in Don Muang, Bangkok to Mae Fah Luang airport in Chiang Rai at around 2pm.
She will then chair a meeting on the flood restoration plans and relief measures for Chiang Rai and other northern provinces at the airport conference room.
At 5pm, Ms Paetongtarn and related ministers will go to inspect the areas affected by the flood to follow up the revival plan and to give moral support to the flood victims and volunteers.
On Saturday, the Prime Minister will travel to Chiang Rai’s Mae Sai district office before inspecting the relief measures for the flood-hit areas in the district. Around 1pm, Ms Paetongtarn will leave Chiang Rai to fly to Chiang Mai to inspect the flood situation in the provincial seat. She is scheduled to give the relieve bags to the flood victims before returning to Bangkok in the afternoon. (TNA)
