BANGKOK, April 22 (TNA) – Online application for the 5,000-baht monthly cash handouts is set to end at midnight Wednesday while appeals submission remains opened for rejected applicants.
Fiscal Policy Office director, Lavaron Saengsanit said since March 28, applicants for the handout via the website raomaithingkun.com (We won’t leave anyone behind in Thai) have totalled 28 million so far.
The screening system approved 4.2 million qualified applicants and over 16 billion baht has been transferred to 3.2 million eligible people, he said.
The remaining 900,000 applicants who have already passed the screening process will receive the money by this week.
The Covid-19 cash relief is granted by the government to temporary employees, contract employees and self-employed workers, who aren’t covered by the social security system.
Meanwhile, the FPO director said those registrants who were rejected can submit their appeals online for the review of their criteria.
After verification processes are completed, the government will speed up allocation of 5,000 baht per month for three months to the affected people as soon as possible. (TNA)
