PATTANI, Feb 6 (TNA) – Six armed robbery suspects raided BigC Mini convenience store in Panare district of Pattani and 4,492 baht cash robbed.
The footages from CCTV camera of BigC Mini, Panare branch in Panare district of Pattani could capture the group of six armed robbery suspects in two motorcycles. They covered their faces with clothes, carrying knifes, handguns and rifles. They raided the store. One of the suspects jumped over the cashier counter with the attempt to open the cash box but he failed to unlock the box. He then forced the staff to open the box and the staff handed him 4,492 baht cash from the box. The suspects rushed to escape the scene after getting the cash.
Pol. Capt Taniwut Khaochankong, Deputy Inspector (Suppression) at Panare district Police Station who inspected the scene and told the reporters that the police weree checking the CCTV clips at various points along the escape routes of the suspects.
Moreover, the police found that after robbery at the BigC Mini, the suspects robbed four mobile phones from a group of teenagers who walked along the road in Ban Nam Bo sub-district of Sai Buri district. The suspects fired two shots of the gun into the air to scare off the officials and the victims, preventing them to follow them. The police believed that the suspects were not the local residents of Panare. However, more investigation was needed to clarify whether they are involved with the insurgency groups.
On November 18, a group of robbers plundered the staff at the convenience store located at a PTT petrol station, Palas branch in Panare district while they were on the way to deposit the cash at the bank. More than one million baht of cash were stolen. The police are investigate whether the suspects are linked between the two cases. (TNA) .-813
