KOH KONG, Sept 10 (TNA) – Thailand’s Deputy Defense Minister and incoming Defense Minister, General Natthapol Nakpanich, and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister General Tea Seiha, co-chaired a special meeting of the Thai-Cambodia General Border Committee (GBC) in Koh Kong province, Cambodia.
The meeting focused on several key issues, including the progress of a ceasefire agreement and the outcomes of a recent special Regional Border Committee (RBC) session.
Discussions also centered on de-escalation measures, such as reducing military presence and ending provocative rhetoric to rebuild trust between the two nations.
In addition, the committee addressed practical cooperation on border-related challenges, including humanitarian demining, combating transnational crime, and improving overall border management.
The talks also aimed to set the agenda for the next RBC and GBC meetings. -819 (TNA)
