BANGKOK, August 18 (TNA) – The Ministry of Labour plans to launch the job training programmes with an aim to improve skill of about one million unemployed workers.
Newly-appointed Deputy Labour Minister Narumon Pinyosinwat said on Tuesday that the project was a part of the government’s economic package to ease the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The funding for the job training programmes was being considered by a budget committee, she said.
Narumon added that the training programmes were designed to improve labour skills of Thai workforce to meet the demands of the domestic and international labour markets.
The Deputy Labour Minister urged unemployed people to apply for participation with the ministry and take benefits from this project. (TNA)
