CHON BURI, August 3 (TNA) – Millions of shellfish were found washed up on Pattaya city’s famous Jomtien Beach after days of stormy seas and soon ended up becoming a great delicacy of local people.
Hundreds of people turned up at the Beach on Monday to collect shellfish such as green mussels that had been brought by the waves whipped up by tropical Storm Sinlaku.
Local residents and tourists said they took advantage of free seafood brought to them by the force of nature.
A tourist service operator said the sight of shellfish on the beach was normal during the rainy season but a tide of millions of shellfish like this was extraordinary.
Many families join the fun to pick the seafood off the sand making sure that they will not go to waste. (TNA)
