SAMUT PRAKAN, Dec 20 (TNA) — The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) ceremoniously welcomed the 38.26 millionth visitor to Thailand as part of its tourism promotion campaign.
Executives of the TAT and Suvarnabhumi airport including TAT deputy governor Thanet Phetsuwan and Suvarnabhumi airport deputy director Kritiya Konthong welcomed Devanshi Deepak Kesaria who arrived at the airport on flight SG81 of SpiceJet airline from Mumbai.
Ms Kesaria, a citizen of India, said it was her first visit to Thailand and she heard of Thai hospitality. She arrived with four friends and planned to visit Pattaya.
Mr Thanet handed a souvenir shirt, doll and certificate to Ms Kesaria. He said that it was part of the Thailand’s Luckiest, the Amazing Smashing Success campaign to promote Thailand. He hoped to welcome the 39 millionth visitor before the end of this year and the expected visitor would break the yearly record of visitors to Thailand.
Ms Kesaria also received two round-trip economy-class tickets from Thai Airways International, hotel accommodations and limousine service from Airports of Thailand Plc. (TNA)
