BANGKOK, Oct 11 (TNA) — Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak urged PTT Group to speed up its investment to help stimulate the economy and the conglomerate promised to do so with its 130-billion-baht projects in the next two years.
Mr Somkid and Energy Minister Sontirat Sontijirawong met executives of PTT Group to call for its fast investment to support the grassroot economy. The policy includes a project to use PTT gas stations to sell community products.
In the meeting, Mr Somkid said he was grateful to PTT for its support for national economic growth, environmental conservation and circular economy and he hoped PTT and other state enterprises would accelerate their investment projects during the present time of strong baht.
Mr Somkid praised PTT for planning to invest 30 billion baht this year and 100 billion baht next year. He also mentioned PTT’s project to import fertilizer precursors to make various kinds of fertilizer for local farmers. PTT planned to sell the fertilizer in collaboration with Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives.
PTT president Charnsilp Trinuchakorn said PTT would implement Mr Somkid’s instruction and would also open Amazon cafes to be co-working spaces in communities. (TNA)
