BANGKOK, June 7 (TNA) – The Ministry of Culture introduced two ASEAN songs as Thailand, ASEAN chair will host two ASEAN summits this year. 
Deputy Prime Minister, Wissanu Krea-ngam told a press conference that the new songs, available in both Thai and English versions were created to promote Thailand’s role as ASEAN chair and ASEAN’s identity in the cultural dimension.
It will be the theme songs for the 34th ASEAN summit, scheduled later this month and the 35th ASEAN summit in November.
National Artist Wirach Yoothaworn composed the melody of the first song, named “Advancing Together as One” and the other song, named “ASEAN Will Go Far” was written by nation artist Prapas Cholsaranon.
The song lyrics are about unity and friendship among ten ASEAN member countries and their cooperation to move forward to the bright future.
