CHIANG MAI, Feb 28 (TNA) – A group of primary school
students in Thailand’s northern Chiang Mai province tour a police station and
jail cells in a programme to dissuade them from law violation.
Over 30 teenage students from Wat Ched Yod Chiang Mai School
visited Chang Puak Police Station on Thursday.
They learned about police works to grasp firsthand
information of crime suppression as many youths in the northern city have been
dragged into illicit drug use and trade.
Police officers gave them a lecture on criminal acts and
legal and punitive measures, urging to stay out of jail cells.
Drug control police have recently revealed shocking findings
that at least 300 students in Chiang Mai had been lured to commit drug offences
while illicit drug trade has been spreading from border areas. (TNA)
