BANGKOK, DEC 7 (TNA) – A Thai taxi driver has his license
suspended for intimidating and abandoning four South Korean passengers.
The South Korean tourists including a former stylist of
T-ara girl group has posted their unpleasant experience on social media.
They claimed the taxi driver, on Wednesday, illegally forced
them to pay a charter fee of Bt200 for a ride from Siam Center to Sathon Road,
refusing to run the meter.
Immigration Bureau chief, Pol Lt-General Surachet Hakpan
said the driver, Surachart Artwongsa, intimidated the foreign tourists with a
stick and forced them to get off his taxi far away from the destination.
Surachart faces Bt1,000 fine and one-month suspension of his
