BANGKOK, Nov 16 (TNA) — Transport Co has assigned Thai Airways International (THAI), the national flag carrier, to cater for its VIP and first-class passenger buses from December onwards.
Both sides signed a contract for the catering service today. Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith presided over the signing ceremony.
Transport Co president Chirasak Yaowatchasakul said the project was aimed at improving the service of Transport Co Seven parties vied for the contract and THAI won it by quoting 333.82 million baht for 766,270 sets on VIP buses and 13,587,870 sets on first-class buses.
Transport Co would save about 65 million baht from its original budget planned for the three-year catering service, he said.
Acting vice president of THAI Vivat Piyaviroj said THAI would select the foods that reflected festivals and tastes of different regions and maintain the same standard of its in-flight foods. (TNA)
