BANGKOK, Nov 3 (TNA) – Police and officials of the Social Development and Human Security Ministry have rescued 11 boys and girls, lured into prostitution and apprehended 42 suspects, involving in the underage prostitution ring, police said.
The incident took place in the lower northern province of Nakhon Sawan. Eleven boys and girls, aged between 12 – 15 were rescued.
The investigation began after the police had received an information about suspicious behaviors of some secondary school students in Nakhon Sawan. The teenage students skipped classes often and spent money lavishly.
Police also arrested eight sex procurers and found that 34 persons bought sex from young girls. Police said they were gathering more evidence so that sex service buyers would be arrested on charges of human trafficking. (TNA)
