BANGKOK, Sept 26 (TNA) – National police chief Pol Gen Suwat Jangyodsuk said he had no concern about rallies planned on Sept 30 when the Constitutional Court will rule on the prime ministerial tenure of Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha.
Pol Gen Suwat said organizers of the demonstrations already announced their planned activities and police would be able to ensure order as they did in every previous rally.
Police did not find any sign of irregular movements and would implement normal measures to guarantee order, the national police chief said.
Meanwhile, Caretaker Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon ordered the police to provide people with good services and use their authority to maintain peace and order. He also advised the police introduce new regulations to comply with the new police law.
The Constitutional Court will announce its ruling on the eight-year limit of the prime ministerial term concerning Gen Prayut on Sept 30. (TNA)
