TRANG, June 11 (TNA) – The Andaman coastal province of Trang holds a campaign to attract tourists to visit natural and cultural tourist spots and to enjoy a wide range of local authentic cuisines, aimed at stimulating tourism during the low season.
Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)’s Trang office, Nantawan Siripokkaphan said that the period from June to September of every year is considered the low season or the green season of Trang.
Most beaches will be closed due to the monsoon season, causing this 4-month-period to have few tourists.
However, TAT, along with all sectors including Trang Provincial Chamber of Commerce has launched a “Slow Life Style Trang” campaign to draw tourists to experience a taste of authentic local food that can be found in almost every corner of the province such as Trang grilled pork, dim sums, GoGia fried noodle with pork in gravy. Moreover, TAT will arrange the Food and Bakery Fair in September.
Trang is a fascinating province that not only has beautiful beaches, but also encompasses astonishing local tourist spots.
Visitors can take a tour to experience a way of life in farming communities, sea food dining on a raft at the Ban Nam Rab fisherman’s village.
There are many more natural attractions that they can enjoy adventurous activities like Le Khao Kop cave, where a canal that flows from Banthat Mountain meets the mountainous landscape and separates into three small canals. (TNA)
