BANGKOK, June 6 (TNA) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), along with its alliances, launched a new campaign to promote tourism during the rainy season.
Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT governor launched a special campaign, in which the private tourism sector offered sales promotion up to 45% from June 1 to September 30, 2019. This campaign is aimed at stimulating tourism during rainy season or the low season.
Tourists, who register for the campaign via Line account @ilovetherain will receive four more special deals, including discounts up to 45% for their spending on air tickets, hotels, tour packages, car rental, taxi service and travel insurance.
Tax invoices for accommodation can also be used to deduct tax up to 20,000 bath until 30 June. In addition, they will have a chance to win the special prizes, worth more than 1.5 million baht in total at the end of the campaign in September.
Yuthasak said that during the rainy season, there are usually fewer tourists, compared to the other seasons.
The TAT will continue to offer new deals to increase the number of tourists. He is confident that the latest campaign will generate additional tourism income of at least 200 million baht. – (TNA)
