BANGKOK, Jan 11 (TNA) — The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society expects its Thai digital exhibits will draw 1.7 million visitors at the World Expo 2020 Dubai that will be organised from Oct 20, 2020, to April 10, 2021.
Pichet Durongkaveroj, the Minister of Digital Economy and Society, said his ministry was assigned to show off Thailand’s technological capabilities at the six-month-long World Expo and it had prepared for the participation in the past three years.
According to him, the ministry will build the Thailand Pavilion on the themes of “Mobility for the Future” and “Digital for Development”. The Thailand Pavilion will also present how Thailand communicates its characteristics through digital technologies.
“The Thailand Pavilion will attract at least 1.7 million visitors, or 7% of all visitors to the World Expo,” Mr Pichet said.
In the World Expo, his ministry will also show how Thai people have developed innovations on local resources and wisdom and how the country applies digital technologies to promote its economy. It will also take the opportunity to promote Thai tourism attractions. (TNA)
