BANGKOK, DEC 4 (TNA) – Miss Universe contestants take a
river cruise to savor historic landmarks along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok
ahead of the final contest this month.
Thailand is hosting the 67th Miss Universe with beauty
queens representing 95 nations joining activities in the kingdom before the
final round set for December 17 at Impact Muang Thong Thani.
On Tuesday, 59 of them boarded the cruise ship at River City
Pier, heading down the river to Wat Arun or Temple of Dawn in the one-hour
trip.
Attracting an army of reporters, it was a part of video
shooting for presentation at the final round,
Since beginning to arrive in Thailand late last month, the
contestants have toured several locations in Thailand including Chiang Mai,
Lamphun, Krabi, Samut Sakhon, Suphan Buri and Chon Buri.
Thailand has previously hosted Miss Universe in 1992 and
2005.
Thailand’s representative Sophida Kanchanarin did not take
part in the river cruise, since she and the rest of contestants joined other
activity in Bangkok. (TNA)
