BANGKOK, Jan 2 (TNA) – The Cabinet has increased the liability limits for air passengers to 5.4 million baht in the event of death or injury as proposed by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) following completion of its quinquennial review.
The ICAO’s revised liability limits took effect from 28 December 2019.
The Cabinet approved the drafted royal decree, proposed by the Transport Ministry to increase liability limits for air passengers from 4.7 million baht to 5.4 million baht in case of death or injury, said government spokeswoman, Narumon Pinyosinwat
Liability limit for delay was revised up from 198,000 baht to 226,000 baht, for baggage from 47,848 baht to 54,416 baht and for cargo from 804 baht per kilogramme to 933 baht per kilogramme. (TNA)
