BANGKOK, Dec 21 (TNA) – The government today launched a second ‘Pracharat Market’ at Wat Phra Chetupon temple in Bangkok, aimed at promoting Thai herbal medicines.
Kobsak Pootrakool, secretary-general to the prime minister presided over the opening of the market at the temple.
Members of the government-sponsored Village Fund set up 73 booths to sell locally made herbal products until tomorrow.
Mr. Kobsak said that raising standard of local products would strengthen grassroots economy and the government would support researches for product development and find markets for herbal products, so villagers can earn more income. (TNA)
