BANGKOK, Oct 25 (TNA) – The COVID-19 vaccine made by Moderna will start to arrive in Thailand before Nov 5 and a total of its 2 million doses will have been delivered within the fourth quarter of this year.
Dr. Chalerm Hanpanich, president of the Private Hospital Association, said a part of 560,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine would arrive in Thailand before Nov 5.
The doses will then be distributed to the Thai Red Cross Society and private hospitals equally to meet 40% of their orders. In December, 1.9 million more doses will be delivered to make a total of the Moderna vaccine import of 2 million doses then.
Today the country logged 8,675 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest caseloads in a month, and 44 new fatalities. Besides, 9,589 patients fully recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 100,042 remained at hospitals for treatment. (TNA)
