BANGKOK, Oct 30 (TNA) – Prime Minister and Finance Minister Srettha Thavisin pays an official visit to Lao PDR.
Government Spokesperson Chai Wacharonke disclosed that the Prime Minister will pay an official visit to the Lao PDR on Oct 30 at the invitation of Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) Sonexay Siphandone.
The official visit aims to further strengthen the bilateral relations and close cooperation as well as emphasizes the Strategic Partnership for Growth and Sustainable Development between Thailand and the Lao PDR, according to the government’s website.
During the official visit, the Prime Minister will have a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of the Lao PDR. He will also pay a courtesy call on Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, President of the Lao PDR and the General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, and meet with Mr. Xaysompone Phomvihane, President of the National Assembly of the Lao PDR.
The Thai Prime Minister, together with the Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, will preside over the opening ceremony of the Vientiane Train Station (Khamsavath). The train station is a cooperation project between the two governments through the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA). (TNA)
