NEW YORK, Sept 20 (TNA) – Prime Minister and Finance Minister Srettha Thavisin has pledged to uplift livelihood and well-being of people at SDG Summit 2023.
The prime minister on Tuesday delivered a statement at the Leaders’ Dialogue 6 of the SDG Summit 2023 at the UN Headquarters, New York, held during the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
He emphasized the importance of effective multilateralism and expressed support for UN Secretary-General’s call for reform of the international financial architecture, and underscored the need to scale up investment in SDG acceleration projects.
Looking forward, Prime Minister stressed the need for transformative approaches that will lead to a more people-centered and planet-centric development.
In this regard, Prime Minister announced Thailand’s pledges towards SDG attainment — to leave no one behind, to promote and protect human rights of all persons, and to drive forward cooperation in support of climate action — all of which will directly uplift the livelihood and well-being of the people.
