BANGKOK, Nov 11 (TNA) – Kasetsart University’s
Faculty of Engineering cooperated with Japanese companies to build
technological laboratory and facilities at its Bang Khen campus in Bangkok.
Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Peerayuth Charnsethikul, Dean of
Faculty of Engineering and Asst.Prof. Ph.D. Pornthep Anussornnitisarn, Head of
Industrial Engineering Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ryowa
Co.,Ltd. and Kawamasa Industries Co.,Ltd. to build technological laboratory and
facilities at the department in Bangkok’s Bang Khen campus, to exchange technical
know-how and expand job opportunity for Thai students.
Asst.Prof. Pornthep said his department has
industrial cooperation to provide facilities and space for rent to SME
entrepreneurs.
The industrial laboratory or the training center
will promote knowledge exchange and create job opportunities for students.
The two Japanese firms invest in machinery and
automatic system in industrial plants in Thailand, which reduce human labour
and increase production capacity effectively. The companies also offer overseas
training in Japan for Thai students. (TNA)
