CHIANG MAI, Nov 30 (TNA) – The Hmong cart racing will be grandly organized on Doi Mon Cham mountain in Chiang Mai province on Dec 15 and 16.
Sukhawat Dansermsuk, chief executive officer of Charoen Pokphand Food PCL, Jeerasak Techalertpana, automobile supervisor on Doi Mon Cham, and Surin Natheepraiwan, the defending champion and head of Ban Nong Hoi Kao village, announced the 2nd Formula Hmong Wooden Cart Racing.
They said the event was organized to promote local culture and wisdom and boost tourism that would raise income for local residents because the racing tournament attracted a large number of visitors.
This wooden cart racing will be organized with rewards worth altogether 270,000 baht. Thirty-two competitors from 13 Hmong villages will race along a steep downhill and winding track about 300 meters long. (TNA)
