BANGKOK, Oct 27 (TNA) — Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha will visit people in the North and hold a cabinet retreat meeting in the northernmost province of Chiang Rai next Tuesday, said an assistant government spokeswoman.
Gen Prayut will leave Bangkok on Monday for Phayao province first and meet the local people at the provincial Municipality Office.
He will witness presentation of farm title deeds under the government’s policy of large-scale farming and a care centre for the elderly, people with disabilities and chronic disease patients, said the assistant spokeswoman.
Later, Gen Prayut will observe an operation at Phayao Lake water gate, a visit to Phayao Inland Fishery Research and Development Centre and release giant catfish for natural breeding.
Gen Prayut will depart for Chiang Rai province later and will witness a handover of land title deeds to the provincial governor, a presentation of community forest land tenure certificates to heads of community forest in four provinces — Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan and Phrae.
He will also release 50,000 fishes for natural breeding.
The prime minister will on Tuesday chair a meeting on economic and social development of Upper Northern provinces before chairing a cabinet retreat meeting at Chiang Rai Rajabhat University.
Gen Prayut is scheduled to return to Bangkok later that day. (TNA)
