BANGKOK, May 30 (TNA) — Mr Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, will pay an official visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic on May 30 at the invitation of Mr Saleumxay Kommasith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos.
The Thai Foreign Minister will have a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos.
The two sides will follow up on the outcomes of the official visit to Laos by the Thai Prime Minister in October 2023, including cross-border trade and transport, infrastructure connectivity between the two countries and in the region, tourism cooperation and the common challenge of transboundary haze.
Both sides will also discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest and concern.
Mr Maris will also pay a courtesy call on Mr Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Laos and meet with representatives of the Thai business community in the Laos. (TNA)
