BANGKOK, Aug 6 (TNA) – Bangkok governor Aswin Kwangmuang inspected readiness of the BTS Green Line extension from the Mo Chit Station to Ha Yeak Lat Phrao station before the start of trial run for public on Friday.
The Green Line extension of elevated electric train to northern Bangkok will fully operate all 16 stations next year.
Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-ocha will board the train to kick off the start of the service on Aug 9 at 10 am. and it will be opened to the public at 3pm. on the same day.
It is expected to serve 70,000- 80,000 passengers daily when it is operational.
Four more stations to Kasetsart University will be opened in December.
The service will be free of charge until the end of this year.
The ceiling fare for the whole route of the Green Line is likely to be imposed at 65 baht. (TNA)
