BANGKOK, Feb 20 (TNA) – The Green Line extension of
Bangkok’s skytrain is expected to be complete within this year.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Thursday inspected the
construction of Wat Phra Si Mahathat Station, which is one of the Green Line
extension.
Operated by BTS, the Green Line extension links Sukhumvit
Line with the Saphan Mai-Khu Khot northern route.
Last year, five stations of the extension line were opened;
Ha Yaek Lat Phrao, Phahonyothin 24, Ratchayothin, Sena Nikhom and Kasetsart
University.
During his tour on Thursday, Prayut asked for speedy progress to
complete the project within this year.
The extensive transport network would improve not only
people’s livelihood but also air quality and traffic condition, Prayut said.(TNA)
