NONTHABURI, June 7 (TNA) — People in Bangkok who are in seven vulnerable groups can reserve free influenza vaccination online from today until June 30.
Dr Weeraphan Leethanakul, health security director in Bangkok, said Bangkok recorded the highest incidence of influenza at 810.07 people per 100,000 people and 220,000 doses of influenza vaccine were allocated to the capital this year to contain the disease.
People in seven risk groups can receive the vaccination at public health service centers, community-based clinics and participating state and private hospitals.
To reserve the free vaccination, 100,000 people in the risk groups will receive short messages and then they can press a link to confirm their reservation.
They can also do so through hthe online registration service of the Bangkok branch of the National Health Security Office at https://bkkapp.nhso.go.th/public/vaccine/.
The seven vulnerable groups of people consist of women whose pregnancy is more than four months, children aged from six months to two years, people aged over 65, people with brain disabilities who need help, thalassemia and HIV patients, obesity patients and people with chronic diseases namely chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, heart disease, strokes, kidney failure, diabetes and cancer which requires chemotherapy.
