BANGKOK, May 30 (TNA) – Thailand’s IP Fair 2019 kicks
off, showcasing patented innovations with an aim to encourage the private
sector to protect their innovative works through intellectual property rights.
Organised by the Department of Intellectual Property, the IP
Fair 2019 features various products and innovations for commercial purposes as
well as consultation on patent registration for innovators.
The Department of Intellectual Property Director-General
Thosapone Dansuputra said the event this year focused on encouraging creativity
among entrepreneurs and promoting academic knowledge in all aspects of
intellectual property.
The Department was determined to provide services for
intellectual property rights for business development, he said.
Seminars on intellectual property rights and business
matching sessions at the Fair helped businesses to maximize benefits in using
intellectual property under the concept “Grow Your Thoughts,” added the
Director-general.
The event runs from Thursday to Friday at Centara Grand at
Central Plaza Ladprao in Bangkok. (TNA)
