NAN, April 18 (TNA) – Over 100 houses have been damaged
after a hailstorm hit a village in Thailand’s northern Nan province.
At least 10 houses on the hardest hit district Tha Wang Pa
have been collapsed by the strong wind, damaging entire structures and
household items, officials say.
Tha Wang Pa School has sustained severe damages to its
classroom buildings and parking facility.
Electricity poles were knocked down causing blackout in a
wide area.
The hail storm also damaged farmlands in several districts.
In Mueang district, the severe weather led to a road
accident involving five vehicles, no one was injured.
Officials have accessed the damaged area and rushed to
prepare relief supplies and assistance for residents to repair their houses.
