LOEI, April 17 (TNA) – A hailstorm destroyed 15 camping tents in the Phu Kradueng National Park as weathermen warned of thunderstorms in many northeastern provinces.
The hailstorm hit the Phu Kradueng National Park for over an hour yesterday evening. Park rangers this morning found it ripped 15 camping tents that the national park set up for visitors at the Wang Kwang tourist service center. No other property was damaged and no one was hurt.
The weather station of Loei reported the lowest local temperatures at 15 degrees Celsius at the Loei Highland Agriculture Development and Research Center, 17.5 degrees at the Phu Kradueng National Park and 18 degrees at the Phu Ruea National Park.
The Meteorological Department predicted hot and extremely hot weather at day and thunderstorms in 20% of the Northeast – especially in Loei, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani provinces.
The lowest temperatures were expected at 23-28 degrees Celsius and the hottest temperatures at 38-41 degrees. The southeasterly wind speed would be 10-30 kilometers per hour. (TNA)
