BANGKOK, DEC 3 (TNA) – Cyclists across Thailand take part in
a rehearsal for the cycling event December 9 which will be led by His Majesty
King Maha Vajiralongkorn.
Thousands of bike riders, wearing yellow and blue shirts, joined
the rehearsal at the main starting point at the Royal Plaza on Sunday
afternoon.
On December 9 to 19, a festival will also be held at the Royal
Plaza and Sanam Suea Pa under the royal permission of His Majesty King Maha
Vajiralongkorn.
Security officers and organizers had the opportunity to
prepare for the biggest cycling event of the year. His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn and
members of the Royal Family will be leading the bicycle riders on a route in
historic quarters of Bangkok.
Traffic police also went through safety measures on 24 roads
for the event.
People can also join next week’s Bike Un Ai Rak (Bike for
Love and Warmth) in their localities such as Chiang Rai, Trang, Pattani where
rehearsals were also held on Sunday.
Provincial cycling activities will mostly start at
provincial halls, covering the routes passing through the cities’ iconic
landmarks. (TNA)
