BANGKOK, June 17 (TNA) – To help families cut expenses amid
COVID-19 pandemic, “Back to School” events have been held to offer school
supplies at reduced prices.
The Ministry of Commerce in cooperation with retailers and
manufacturers has organised the shopping events before the new semester begins
next month.
Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit said the programme was
aimed at helping parents prepare for the new semester offering 1,600 items and
up to 80 percent discount.
School supplies for kindergartens to high school are
available until July 15 at several locations.
It is expected to help families of 10.7 million students cut their
expenditures by at least 1 billion baht.(TNA)
