BANGKOK, Nov 13 (TNA) — The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Thai Airways International (THAI) will jointly organize promotional campaigns to attract tourists in 2020.
TAT governor Yuthasak Supasorn and THAI president Sumeth Damrongchaitham announced the movement at the THAI headquarters. They said the campaign targeted all groups of travelers including Silver Age, Millennium and Gen X to generate national income.
Mr Yuthasak said that both organizations shared the same goal to attract tourists to Thailand, impress them and generate national income. The TAT would support marketing activities including the integration of its Amazing Thailand Grand Sale program with the THAI Pass Plus project to increase promotional privileges for Thai and foreign tourists, he said.
TAT plans to generate tourism-related income worth 3.71 trillion baht next year, up by 10% from this year. Of the figure, 2.43 trillion baht will come from foreign tourists and 1.28 trillion baht from Thai tourists. If the target is reached, Thailand will be among top six countries with the largest income from tourism.
The promotional campaigns of both organizations will continue on a monthly basis throughout next year. (TNA)
