Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra on Thrusday morning arrived in Chiang Mai, where crowds welcome him back home after 17 years.

Former PM Thaksin Shinawatra, released on parole yesterday has reported to public prosecutors as scheduled today after he filed a written petition for fair treatment in the lese majeste case related to his comments made in Seoul in May 2015.

Former premier Thaksin Shinawatra has been in the list of inmates granted parole, said Justice Minister Tawee Sodsong.
