BANGKOK, Aug 31 (TNA) – South Korean President Moon Jae-in will pay a three-day official visit to Thailand, starting September 1, making him the first government leader from South Korea to visit this country in the past seven years, according to a Thai government spokeswoman.
To be accompanied by his wife Kim Jung-sook, the Seoul president is expected to discuss bilateral cooperation with Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha. Economic and strategy cooperation between the two countries are major topics of discussion between the two government leaders next Monday.
They are expected to confer on the New Southern Policy (NSP) and cooperation between South Korea and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the spokeswoman said.
The two leaders will witness the signing of six agreements and memorandums of understanding. (TNA)
