PHANG-NGA, July 22 (TNA) – Blindfolded contestants
compete in a fruit eating contest held as part of a fruit promotion event of
the southern Phang-Nga province.
In the highlight of the Takua Thung’s fruit marketing event
on Sunday, two teams competed to finish all durians, mangosteens and rambutans.
Both teams had two contestants each; only one in each team
consumed the fruits fed by their blindfolded teammates.
Spectators found it amusing because blindfolded feeders must
peel the fruit and locate the month of their teammates.
The team representing Koh Yao community won the entertaining
race by applying effective touching technique.
Provincial agriculture office organized the event with an
aim to promote high quality local fruits and farm produce. (TNA)
