BANGKOK, September 17 (TNA) – Thailand is bracing for the impacts of Tropical Storm Noul that could begin to trigger torrential rain in the Northeast early Friday morning.
Noul is expected to affect Thailand as it is moving toward central Vietnam. The Meteorological Department of Thailand has warned that the Tropical Storm could develop into a typhoon.
The impacts of the storm will reach Thailand’s Northeast as early as Friday and then expand to East and the South. It would later affect the North and the Central Plains, including greater Bangkok, on Saturday.
The Irrigation Department has warned of flashfloods in upper Thailand from Friday to Sunday.
The Department has monitored water levels of waterways in seven river basins in the Northeast.(TNA)
