SAMUT PRAKAN, Aug 22 (TNA) – In a shocking incident, a man was bitten on the genitals by a python while using the toilet at a house in Samut Prakan province.
The man, 35 identified as Thanat Tangtewanon, shared his harrowing experience on Facebook, detailing how he was attacked by the snake while sitting on the toilet on the second floor of his brother’s house.
According to Thanat, the incident occurred around 10 a.m. on Tuesday after he woke up and went to the bathroom. As was his routine, he flushed the toilet before sitting down to prevent any unexpected surprises. However, despite this precaution, a sharp pain suddenly struck him as the snake bit his genitals.
Realizing that a python had latched onto him, Thanat immediately grabbed the snake by the neck and tried to pull it off. Despite his efforts, the snake’s grip was too strong. In a state of panic and anger, he grabbed a toilet brush and repeatedly struck the snake. Unfortunately, his own hand, which was holding the snake, also took the brunt of the blows.
After a fierce struggle, the python was finally subdued and killed. Thanat then called for security personnel to remove the dead snake and sought help from a neighbor to get to the hospital. Fortunately, the python was non-venomous, and Thanat’s condition is now stable. Doctors have scheduled a follow-up blood test to ensure there are no further complications.
Thanat shared his terrifying ordeal as a cautionary tale, urging others to be vigilant, even in seemingly safe environments like the bathroom. -819 (TNA)
