BANGKOK, April 7 (TNA) – Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob said he was diagnosed with COVID-19 after having a high fever of 38 degrees Celsius.
Being admitted to Buriram Hospital this morning in Buri Ram province, Mr Saksayam said doctors invited him to the hospital after learning about his high fever and his blood test at the hospital showed he had the disease. He already entered a treatment process there.
Meanwhile, Gen Nattapon Nakpanich, secretary-general of the National Security Council in his capacity as the director of the operation unit of the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration, said disease control measures for the Songkran festival remained unchanged but the government would seriously campaign for the use of face masks and social distancing.
People could still make inter-provincial trips and business and activities were still permitted as earlier announced, he said. (TNA)
